A vision of a just and peaceful Jerusalem in 2050 is illustrated by the return of a visitor who visited the city in 2008. The visitor finds that the Old City ( OC )has become a peaceful and just city. The most dominant feature is the presence of water in the form of fountains, pools and streams designed within well landscaped settings. Racial and political conflicts are no longer visible.
Feng Shui ( i.e. Chinese Geomancy) Assessments have been carried out for the OC and the Parliament Building (PB). A Magnetic Field Study shows that Jerusalem is topographically a well protected city with a very strong concentration of magnetic currents. However, the lacking of permanent water features in and around the city has induced rapid outflow of magnetic currents. This has resulted in a weak and imbalanced magnetic field over the OC. A Flying Star Study has also identified an unfavorable magnetic field pattern for the PB. Decision makers inside the building are inclined to use force in conflict resolution.
The Oasis-Jerusalem Project ( i.e. O-J Project ) proposes the timely use of surface water bodies at strategic locations of the city in order to balance and to strengthen the magnetic field of the OC. Fountains, streams and water ponds have been proposed at or near the main gates in order to activate the positive magnetic cycle. A lake has been proposed south of the OC in order to conserve and to stop the rapid outflow of magnetic currents. People will receive and interact with the positive magnetic currents backwashed from the lake. They will become wise, just and peaceful in their behavior. A major renovation project has been proposed for the PB so as to change its life cycle. This will result in wiser decisions by the Government and the gradual transformation of Jerusalem into a peaceful and just city.
The basic principles of the O-J Project have also been proposed to improve West Jerusalem, Gaza Strip and West Bank. A balanced magnetic field over these areas will set a good foundation for a just and peaceful Jerusalem.
