Our project shows the connection between the tangible and the intangible world of the multimedia social PeaceNetwork of Israel and Palestine:
Homepages of organizations, like Combatants for Peace or The Parents Circle – to name only two out of about more than 250 websites which are included in PeaceNetwork so far – are interconnected with the aim to create and maintain peace between Israel, Palestine and the world.
Our network mapping focuses on the positive side of the conflict!
The visualization perfectly conveys the real aim of the network, shapes it, shows its potential and reveals the strength of already existing peace and peaceful intentions of Israel and Palestine in co-operation.
The network enables us to see the very existence of peaceful connections within the conflict: Who is cooperating? Where are connections coming from and leading to? Who is involved the most? Where am I situated? Etc.
The network does not only cover the Middle East but the world!
We interrupted our work at link number 255. However, PeaceNetwork has just been called into life; the actual map-only reveals its future potential. Become part of it!
